Fancy Dancy Feet
After working with very young children for over thirty years Allegra instructors under the direction of Claudia DeVita have developed a unique and unprecedented approach. Keeping in mind that true Classical Ballet Technique should not be addressed with a child under the age of seven due to the joint, muscle and skeletal development, music and movement that is age appropriate is key. Also, understanding that a very young child has days where he or she needs a more creative approach, the instructors have a syllabus which allows flexibility while working with the young child. Music. rhythm, creativity, motor movement and FUN are the components of an Allegra Fancy Dancy Feet class.
The end of the year recital is held in a relaxed and fun environment never allowing the SHOW JITTERS to enter into the equation. On stage a Fancy Dancy Feet student can do no wrong even if for a moment he or she stops to wave to Grandma. The show is just an extension of the learning experience and we make sure the day is fun not only for the class but for the audience as well. When a child reaches age 7, parents can choose to move forward into different dance styles.
